Satellite Gastro Associates ("we", "us") is a specialist gastroenterology clinic in Satellite, Ahmedabad. This notice explains how we handle personal information collected via this website (satellitegastro.com) and in the course of providing clinical care.

Contact information you give us via the booking and contact forms: name, phone number, optional email, optional case description.

Clinical information generated during care (history, examination, investigations, treatment) is retained in your medical record as required by Indian medical regulations.

How we use it

To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation.
To provide and improve clinical care.
To meet medical record-keeping obligations.
To send you updates from the practice, only if you have ticked the optional newsletter consent box.

Lawful basis

For website enquiries we rely on your explicit consent (the required tickbox on the form). For clinical care we rely on the contractual basis of providing the treatment you have requested, and on legitimate medical record-keeping obligations under Indian law.

How long we keep it

Website enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months after the last contact, then deleted.
Clinical records are retained for the period required by applicable Indian regulations and medical council guidance.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only where strictly necessary: with the referring doctor (with your permission), with diagnostic laboratories and other treating clinicians where you are receiving onward care, and with our regulated service providers (e.g. email delivery, hosting) under appropriate confidentiality terms.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

You have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to ask for corrections, to withdraw consent for non-essential processing, and to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board. Email infosatellitegastro@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.

Security

Information is handled on systems with industry-standard technical and organisational measures, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and access controls.
