Prof. Dhaval Gupta is a Consultant Gastroenterologist, Hepatologist & Endoscopist. He completed MBBS and MD (General Medicine) at SMT NHL Municipal Medical College and Sheth V.S. Hospital, Ahmedabad, and DM (Gastroenterology) in 2015 from LTMMC & LTMGH Sion Hospital, Mumbai, under Prof. Prabha Sawant.
He pursued a fellowship in advanced endoscopy (EUS and ERCP) at Jaswant Rai Superspeciality Hospital, Meerut, under Dr. Malay Sharma, with a focus on diagnostic and therapeutic EUS including fine-needle aspiration and biliary drainage. He has additional training in high-resolution manometry and biofeedback from Motiben Dalvi Hospital, Mumbai, and holds ESEGH (MRCP UK), 2019, the European Speciality Examination in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
He serves as teaching faculty and training mentor for DM and DNB Medical Gastroenterology. Academic presentations include IDDF Hong Kong 2014 (Young Investigator, third place) and EASL Barcelona 2016.
His clinical work includes POEM, ESD, EMR, EFTR, EUS-guided pseudocyst drainage, endoscopic necrosectomy, EUS-guided biliary and gallbladder drainage, endoscopic fundoplication, intragastric balloon placement, and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, alongside the full breadth of hepatology and general gastroenterology.
